We consider LTM as distinct from Leadership Continuity Planning (succession) because it creates space for focusing on the actual development of leaders for future positions, rather than considering which leaders are being considered or identified for a position. Put another way, Leadership Continuity Planning is the demand side of the equation. Leadership Talent Management deals with the supply side. In addition to designing your LTM system for you, here at ClearPoint we can also provide direct support to your leaders as they plan their development. This support is best provided by someone other than their direct supervisor, but in concert with them.
